
Ingredients
225g / 8oz Wholewheat Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
Method
1) Mix flour with salt and 150ml / 1/4 pint water,
2) Add the oil and knead to a soft dough,
3) Leave covered under a wet cloth for 20 mins
4) Knead the dough again for 10 mins then divide into 10 equal roundballs,
5) Roll out each ball into 10-12cm / 4-5 in pancakes,
6) Heat a flat frying pan or hot griddle,
7) Cook each chapatti over a medium heat for 30 secs or until it bubbles
and turns brown,
8) Turn over and repeat oon other side,
9) Remove from the griddle and place directly into the flame until the
chapatti puffs up,
10) Serve immediatley.
